Tailynne is talking quite a bit.

Tailynne is really starting to talk to where we can understand it (part of the time). She calls dogs, god. Tonight there was a dog barking outside and Tailynne says "Whats that...god?"

Sledding

For Family Home Evening we went sledding. We ended up doing our activity first since we were not to excited to go sledding in the dark. So right when Thom got home from school we got all bundled up and headed for Leadville's sledding hill. We had lots of fun. Here are a few pictures we wanted to share with you.
Tailynne had a great time riding down the hill with both mom and dad. You could hear her laughing the whole ride.
Needless to say when you are sledding in fresh powder and going fast you get blasted with snow.
"Mom, Dad what are you crazy people doing?"

Quist-mas

We visited Thom's parents for two days after Christmas. We had a great time just relaxing and playing games with Thom's siblings. We went on a shopping trip with Thom's mom in search of the game "Life: Twists and Turns." Two hours, and three stores later, we found it! Mom got it for us as a Christmas gift, and we stayed up late playing it with Mom and Dad that night. We had a great time, but forgot to pull out the camera. Sorry for the lack of pictures.

Christmas

We made a last-minute decision to go up and visit family over Christmas. So, the morning of Christmas Eve, we did our own family Christmas at our house, then we drove up to Denver. We spent Christmas Eve night at Rustic Log Furniture in Denver along with Laci's parents, her sisters Micah and Amanda and their families, and her brother Ryan. We all chose beds on the showroom floor, and had a BYOB party (bring your own bedding).

After all the kiddos were in bed, Laci managed to catch Santa on camera.
Tailynne had two mornings of opening presents! Not all the presents in this picture were for her, but she still enjoyed being surrounded by so much wrapping paper.

Christmas Day, Ryan and Thom played chess using the "Cute Critters" and stuffed animals that were displayed around the store. It ended in a stale mate.

One of Laci's family traditions is gambeling with the Christmas candy that Santa left in their stockings. Laci and her dad were the last two in the game. Dad won. That's all I have to say. Oh, well, the candy was divided evenly after the game again anyway.

Tailynne had a good time playing with her cousin Caden. They made up their own game, which kept them entertained for about half an hour. Caden would climb into the cabinets, Tai would say, "bye," and close the cabinet doors on her. Then Caden would climb out, and they would repeat the process. All the time, they would laugh and squeel with each other.

Visiting Santa

Santa was coming to the courthouse in Leadville. So we waited in line outside for about half an hour. It was really cold. Then we went inside to a crowded room and waited for those in front of us to sit on Santa's lap. The courthouse had a Nativity set up and Tailynne loved the "baby." We thought it was really awesome that they put a Nativity in the courthouse.
Thom put Tailynne on Santa's lap. She took one look at him and ...
Priceless!!!!!Tailynne and I went to story time at the library and Santa came to visit there as well. Tailynne would have nothing to do with him this time. So I held her so we could get a picture with him. At one point Santa tried to hold Tailynnes hand and she completely turned away from him. So funny.

December Sunset in Leadville

Pie

Laci was giving Tailynne bites of her pie, and Tai decided she wasn't being fed fast enough.
