PANTHER PRIDE
The mascot of the school that Thom works at is the Panthers. We have attended some of the home Volleyball and Football games. Tailynne even claps for the right team...sometimes.

This was a very cold day!
The Panthers had a great season!
This is NOT the Mountains.
Thom's Sister Susie came and visited Colorado, and when they were here they met us in Silverthorne. Susie told her oldest daughter, Lexi, before they came to meet us that they were going to go to the mountains to see her uncle. As they were getting ready to leave Old Chicago Lexi got very upset because Silverthorne "is NOT the Mountains." We got a lot of cute pictures of the girls.

Color Challenge # 21

I am working on improving my creative side. Which really needs some work. There is a blog that I go to quite often to get ideas and learn techniques, click here to see the blog. I love this site she is very talented. Anyway, she does a weekly color challenge. She pickes a picture or items that inspire her and she challeges us to make a card out of those colors. Here is my card for this weeks challenge. I have never done this before but I really liked it. It definetly challenged me. I hope you enjoy my card. We will see how I do.
Labor Day
We had a fun Labor Day. I had to work which was kind of a bummer, but the rest of the day was fun. Thom's brother and his family came to visit us. They came and toured the Healy House Museum, then they took a walk around town. When I got off work I joined them. Then we headed out to Turquoise Lake which is about 3 miles from where we live. David and the kids went fishing. The rest of us sat around and enjoyed the view. Once we got cold we went home for dinner where we had a roast. Time went too fast and it was time for David's family to head home, but on their way out of town we stopped at a local restaurant to have shake, which were really good. It was a fun day. Thanks for coming, David and Sariah, we had a blast with you.

Turquoise Lake. Isn't this beautiful! I have to admit that we live in a beautiful area.

Tailynne wanted to go to the water. She really liked it.

David helping Colin with his fishing rod. Needless to say, David didn't get to fish much because he was helping Colin and Miriam.

August in a Nut Shell
Tailynne is posing in Frisco.
We went to Lookout Mountain to watch the city lights come on. The picture didn't turn out the best because it was dark, but I thought I would post a picture of Thom and me instead of just Tailynne.

Tailynne loves to wear Thom's hat around. On this day she was in her room playing, and came out wearing it.
Tailynne had her first bubble bath. She loved it.
Tailynne smelling the flowers right outside our house. Man I love wild flowers.
Sorry I have been a slacker at updating this. August was a crazy month. I spent my days off in Golden helping my dad with the store, so I didn't have many days off. I will try to do better in the future, but I make no promises.
